Creating process

Through the lecture, Mr Hafiz showed us how to make the vomator shapes using the pen tool.

Reflection

The process to creating the character is really fun and also the first time for me to create one on my own. The challenge is using the eight shapes not altering it and without any kind of free transforming of the shapes. I have learnt the basic skills like the gradient, shading and utilize the character to add more details.

Exercise 2

Continuing your Ai tools mastery, design and create an aesthetically pleasing illustrated typography by using words generated from the Pictionary Generator: https://randomwordgenerator.com/pictionary.phpThe challenges are:

The illustrations and words complement each other
The design makes sense
Use non-decorative fonts as the base of the design.

figure 2.1

As the screenshot showed that my word is going to be music and wall.

The challenge is the illustration complete the font.

Process

-Wall

I used the rectangles to create a background to make it feels like the wall made brick by brick

figure 2.2 the background of the wall

Then, it comes to the font, I used the 3D effect and add some texture to make it the font looks like it is made by cement.

-Music

The music never separate with the notes, so the idea is to mixed the word music with the staff.

figure 2.5 the background of the music

The main body for the word music is to make every character looks like the notes on the staff for people who saw my work have better understanding.

Reflection

After finishing the exercise 2, I have a deeper understanding of the functions in the AI. I think the challenged has been overcome and the design made sense with the word.
